Justin Bieber pays tribute to friend killed in Paris attacks

Justin Bieber is remembering a colleague and friend who was killed in last week’s tragic Paris attacks.

The 21-year-old has penned a touching tribute to Universal Music Group executive Thomas Ayad, who along with 88 others lost his life at Friday’s Eagles of Death Metal rock concert. “Still thinking about Paris and my friend Thomas that we lost in the tragedy,” Bieber wrote on Twitter Monday night.

Bieber continued, “He was a part of the team for years and I wish I would’ve had more time to thank him. Make sure to appreciate people while you have them. Thanks Thomas for everything you did for me. You are appreciated and missed. Thoughts and prayers are with your family & friends.”

Universal Music Group Chairman Lucian Grainge previously confirmed Ayad’s death and called it “an unspeakably appalling tragedy” in a memo to employees, which was provided to the Los Angeles Times.
