After just five months of dating, Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas have broken up.
“Joe and Gigi’s relationship recently ended,” an insider told People exclusively. “Nothing serious happened … it wasn’t a dramatic breakup. It was just hard to make it work with their schedules.”
First linked in the summer, the 20-year-old model and the 26-year-old singer seemed much more than a fling as they documented their whirlwind romance around the globe.
The couple made their red carpet debut at the Global Lyme Alliance inaugural gala last month and more recently, the supermodel directed the video for “Cake By the Ocean” from Jonas’ new band DNCE.
“She had a megaphone. She was a badass,” Jonas shared with People. “Everybody really looked up to her lead and she really came through and showed us that she could do it.”
With Hadid set to walk in the Victoria’s Secret fashion show next month, the blue-eyed beauty is focused on her red-hot runway career. And while she and Jonas may not be together, that doesn’t mean he won’t still be her No. 1 supporter.
“They will definitely remain friends,” said the source.
