Ali Wentworth doesn’t mind letting it all hang out around her daughters.
In fact, the 50-year-old comedian and author sees it as teaching Elliot, 12, and Harper, 10, a valuable lesson about body image.
“I’m naked around my kids,” Wentworth, who is married to ABC fixture George Stephanopoulos, tells People. “I don’t parade, but they’ll come and talk to me in the shower.”
As strange as it may sound, there’s a method to her madness. “I embrace it and teach them to not be ashamed of their bodies in general, no matter what they look like,” she added.
Although Wentworth appears to be incredibly confident about her image, she elected to undergo blepharoplasty — a procedure that reduces bags under the eyes — in 2012.
“My eyes were such an issue at work,” she recalled. “It started to really eat away at me. I just wanted to fix it and make it go away. So then I thought, ‘I get it, I get how you can have something that really bothers you, and it’s OK.’”
Although it’s not uncommon for patients to return to the operating room after one procedure, Wentworth says she’s “done.”
