Gov. Andrew Cuomo‘s gal pal, TV chef Sandra Lee, “still has a ways to go” in her recovery from a double mastectomy last week, her reps said Sunday.
The TV chef may be well enough to leave the hospital Monday, according to one source.
“Sandra’s team here,” said a post on Lee’s Facebook page. “She says today is a better day, but she still has a ways to go. On her behalf, we want to thank so many people for reaching out and taking the time to send such beautiful flowers, fruits, chocolates, notes and emails.”
The online update included a picture of several bouquets.
A day earlier, Lee revealed through her family that she was feeling weak and had lost 15 pounds.
Cuomo has taken some time off to be by her side during her recovery.
Lee has given many of her flowers to others in the hospital, including a few children in palliative care, her reps said.
Lee’s Facebook post thanked such supporters as Rita Wilson, Christina Applegate, Jon Bon Jovi, Judith Light, Martha Stewart, Mario Batali and Bryant Gumbel.
