Selena Gomez gave Jeff Ross some fiery advice for his recent roast of Justin Bieber.
Funnyman Ross says he grilled Bieber’s ex-girlfriend for guidance after running into her at a party at his agent’s house.
“She said, ‘Tell Justin the truth, the truth always worked for me,'” said Ross, detailing Gomez’s response, on Tuesday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
Ross, 49, was among the panelists at the Bieber roast, which aired on Comedy Central on Monday night. Kevin Hart, Martha Stewart, Snoop Dogg, Shaquille O’Neal and Natasha Leggero also threw barbs at the troubled “Baby” singer.
Gomez, 22, was a focus of the jokes. Leggero jabbed, “Selena Gomez had to [have sex] with you. She’s literally the least lucky Selena in entertainment history.” Meanwhile, Ross said, “Selena Gomez used to bang this guy, proving once again that Mexicans will do the disgusting jobs Americans just won’t do.”
The panelists also took aim at the 21-year-old’s troubles with the law, his appearance, his mom’s parenting skills and his abandoned pet monkey.
At the end of the evening, Bieber took a jab at his roasters, saying, “What do you get when you give a teenager $200 million? A bunch of has-beens calling you a lesbian for two hours.” He also apologized for his string of bad behavior.
