Kanye West finally apologizes for Beck Grammy diss

Kanye West has finally apologized for dissing Beck at the Grammys.

“I would like to publicly apologize to Beck,” he posted to Twitter on Thursday night. “I’m sorry Beck.”

After Beck won album of the year at this month’s Grammy Awards, West stormed the stage, a la his infamous 2009 stage-crashing moment with Taylor Swift, and then ranted to E! News that Beck did not deserve the award.

“Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyoncé, and at this point, we tired of it,” West, 37, said at the time. “We ain’t gonna play with them no more.”

Beck, 44, responded to the rant by simply stating, “You can’t please everybody, man. I still love him and think he’s genius. I aspire to do what he does.”

Even though Beck had nothing but kind words for Kim Kardashian‘s husband, other celebrities weren’t so thrilled with the diss.

“We should let [Kanye] choose who’s going to win the Academy Awards, so that we can put ourselves out of our misery of hearing him talk about the injustices that happen the next morning,” Bravo’s Andy Cohen said.

Last week, West admitted during an interview with Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” that he planned on calling Beck after the Grammy drama but never got around to it.

“I got his number, I was supposed to call but I keep forgetting,” he said.

While he was apologizing, West also threw out an “I’m sorry” to singer Bruno Mars because the rapper says he “used to hate on [Mars] but I really respect what he does as an artist.”
