Amanda Bynes plans suing spree against two tabloids

Amanda Bynes means business, according to her latest Twitter rant posted late Wednesday night.

The 28-year-old starlet, who’s been the subject of numerous head-turning stories regarding her mental state recently, says she plans to sue tabloids In Touch Weekly and Star magazine for allegedly printing lies about her. Bynes says she never gave interviews to the magazines, though they both published pieces with quotes attributed to her.

A representative from In Touch released a statement to Page Six defending its article: “After identifying themselves, two of our reporters spent the afternoon with Amanda Bynes on Sunday, Oct. 5. She was aware that they were from Bauer. At one point, she even discussed writing a column for the magazine. Every word of our account is accurate and we hope that Amanda gets the help that she needs.”

Bynes may be upset that the In Touch story analyzes her mental health. The magazine claims she gave an interview saying she believes there’s a microchip in her head and “I want a dollar a day from every person who [is] reading my mind.”

She also reportedly went on to discuss her relationship with her parents.

“I was miserable living with them,” she said. “I would have rather been in jail.”

The In Touch rep said Bynes has not contacted the magazine regarding a lawsuit.

An article in Star claims Bynes told the publication, “I hate my parents.”

Requests for comment from Star were not immediately returned.

After ranting about being mistreated by the media on Twitter, Bynes, who claims to be engaged to a 19-year-old and was allegedly caught shoplifting on Wednesday, says she and her boyfriend will be on the cover of People magazine.
