A first look at Amal’s wedding dress

A fairy-tale wedding requires a fairy-tale dress, and the gown Amal Alamuddin wore for her dream day with George Clooney did not disappoint.

The human rights lawyer showed off the fabulous Oscar de la Renta frock to Vogue magazine, which was invited to her final fitting two months before Saturday’s wedding in Venice.

She continued to dazzle Monday when she and her new husband made their union official with a civil ceremony in Venice.

Clooney, 53, wore a gray two-piece Armani suit while Alamuddin, 36, rocked a wide-legged cream Stella McCartney pantsuit with black accents and matching hat.

She carried a clutch bag by the same designer.

The couple arrived via their boat, the Amore, at a municipal building at 1:25 p.m. local time.

They were in and out before locals had time to throw rice.

Clooney flashed his Sexiest Man Alive smile, Alamuddin brushed back her shoulder-length hair, and they went off holding hands.

“The ink was on the paper, finalized, at about 1:30,” a local city council press person confirmed to E! “The rest was just happiness and joy.”

The civil ceremony capped off a weekend of festivities that began Thursday, when the pair arrived at the luxurious Cipriani Hotel. Bachelor and bachelorette parties were in full swing Friday night, followed by the exchanging of vows Saturday at the Aman Canal Grande hotel, E! News reports.

Saturday’s celebration included private water taxis, a star-studded guest list and 100 bottles of tequila, the International Business Times reported.

While an exact figure was not yet available, “Inside Edition” reported that the three-day extravaganza’s price tag is expected to reach $13 million.

Matt Damon, Bono and Emily Blunt were in attendance to witness the star break his vow to never marry again.

White candles and flowers flooded the venue, while more than 100 guests enjoyed hundreds of bottles of champagne and wine and danced to disco and jazz into the wee hours.

The newlyweds made their public debut as husband and wife Sunday as they traveled around the romantic Italian city and lunched with their guests.

Clooney — who divorced his first wife, actress Talia Balsam, in 1993 — met Alamuddin last year and popped the question after seven months of dating.
