Style Showdown: Megan Fox vs. Rosie Huntington Whiteley

Thus far, comparisons between Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Megan Fox have mostly remained at bay despite the Victoria’s Secret model replacing 2009’s Most Desirable Woman as Shia LaBeouf’s love interest and source of gratuitous on-screen skin in the unofficial Rock Em, Sock Em Robots finale.

But with the “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” hitting theaters on Friday & the accompanying press tour in full swing, I’m finally able to compare these two ladies where it really counts: the clothes!

MORE: Who is Rosie Huntington Whiteley?

Since an unrealistically hot hacker or human transformer (surprise!) weren’t written into the script, full fashion duties fell to Rosie as she promoted the globe-hopping action flick.

Being the third go-around, many of the foreign cities that hosted premieres for the sequel once again opened their ports for cast & crew, providing a few very easy paradigms on which to compare Megan & Rosie’s style!

U.S. Premiere

Last night Rosie stepped out in a fire engine red Antonio Berardi gown for the threequel’s NYC premiere. Uncharacteristically, the all-white Kaufman Franco gown Megan wore to the 2009 LA premiere of “Rise of the Fallen” cast her as the halo-wearer in this angel/devil duel.
Winner: Rosie

U.K. Premiere

Both ladies opted for intricate backless gowns in London town — but this time Megan’s Kaufman Franco design trumped Rosie’s custom made but simplistic Burberry.
Winner: Megan

Press Conference

Offering each a chance to step out in a slightly comfier style, the requisite press conference provided a pair of fab fashion moments. Megan’s sweet striped style (worn June 10, 2009 in Seoul) was perfectly paired with that tri-buckle belt, but that blah sweater gets tramped by Rosie’s substantially sexier sleeve solution.
Winner: Rosie

German Premiere

Both ladies upped the drama in Berlin — with Megan exposing maximum skin in this Roberto Cavalli gown & Rosie going for slinky sensuality in Naeem Khan, which proved that sometimes more is more.
Winner: Rosie

Moscow Premiere

Don’t know why pink became the go-to color for the girls in Russia’s capital, but both choices were high points of their respective tours. If only Megan’s strapless style were made of material as flattering as Rosie’s Michael Kors gown, then I wouldn’t be saying…
Winner: Rosie

World Premiere

Being a globe-spanning action franchise, the movie has debuted each film in a foreign city — Megan put a good foot forward in Donna Karan for the June 8, 2009 Tokyo premiere, while Rosie made a major misstep in Russia, opting for this see-through monstrosity.
Winner: Megan

“Late Show” Taping

Hot girls and David Letterman go together … better than his wife would like. But that hasn’t kept either girl from penciling in some late night couch time before stamping their passport. Megan kept up her vampy vibe with this skin-tight and plunging Herve Leroux design, while Rosie was easy, breezy in Michael Kors.
Winner: Rosie

MTV Movie Awards

Summer blockbuster season is now kicked off at this annual award show and both ladies opted for heavily printed designs to walk the red carpet. While Megan’s Dolce & Gabbana dress trumps Rosie’s Dolce & Gabbana dress, her slicked back styling trips up the whole ensemble.
Winner: Rosie

Final Count: Rosie 6, Megan 2!
