Matthew Moorhouse says life ruined by false rape charge at Standard Hotel

Matthew Moorhouse, who’s suing the Standard Hotel over a false rape accusation against him, says he’s gone broke. “My life has been ruined,” he told us. “I haven’t been able to get a job, and I am now leaning on my family for financial help.” Australian tourist Moorhouse was accused of raping a maid while staying at the Standard on business in 2009. His $10 million suit against the Standard claims the hotel “encouraged sexual deviance and inappropriate behavior.” A hotel rep had no comment.
