YOU can tell that Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys is a real New Yorker as soon as he opens his mouth. Yauch tells Page Six Magazine in this Sunday’s Post that his favorite childhood memory was raising hell at the porno theater near his Brooklyn home around Atlantic Avenue and Court Street. “My friends and I used to open up the fire exit and shoot bottle rockets at the guys inside. We thought it was so funny,” he recalls. Asked what he would do if he were mayor, Yauch said he’d end gridlock by raising the fine to $1,000 for blocking intersections: “What are fools from New Jersey doing coming over here and blocking our traffic? Go back to Jersey!”
