Jasha Klebe is an Emmy and BAFTA nominated composer known for emotive melodies and evocative scores. Most notably, Jasha co-scored BBC’s Planet Earth II, alongside Hans Zimmer and Jacob Shea. He additionally provided music to the follow up series, Blue Planet II, as well as wrote the Emmy nominated music of National Geographic’s Challenger Disaster: Lost Tapes and Diana: In Her Own Words. Jasha also composed the score to Netflix’s Oscar nominated documentary, Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight For Freedom, as well as the director Evgeny Afineevsky’s companion piece, Freedom on Fire. In 2019, he composed the score to the Emmy-nominated Netflix documentary, The Black Godfather, directed by Reginald Hudlin and produced by Nicole Avant. In 2021 he scored FOX’s Malika the Lion Queen narrated by Angela Bassett as well music for Garrett Bradley’s poignant series, Naomi Osaka. He also wrote the music for Netflix/Plimsoll’s nature documentary series, Animal. In 2022 he scored the true-crime documentary series, I Just Killed my Dad, directed by Skye Borgman, as well as Peacock’s reimagining of Queer As Folk, created by Stephen Dunn and exec produced by Russell T Davies. Recent releases include the epic ITV original series A Year On Planet Earth (Original Television Soundtrack), narrated by Stephen Fry, and the highly anticipated Netflix documentary series, Our Planet II (Soundtrack from the Netflix Series). Jasha currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
