TVXQ!, meaning “The Rising Gods of the East”, is a Korean pop group formed in 2003. Ever since their debut, TVXQ! has been labeled as the “King of K-POP” for their immense success and contributions to Hallyu and Korean pop. In 2013, TVXQ! topped the Oricon single chart 12 times and secured the No.1 sales ranking with 3 straight albums in a row on Oricon’s weekly album sales charts, breaking the record set by American rock band Bon Jovi. The same year, TVXQ! became the first Korean group who held a tour in Japan’s five major domes, and they successfully completed 18 concerts in 7 cities, with a total attendance of 850,000 audience, breaking the record of the highest number of audience in a single concert tour. Their most recent tour from September 2018 to January 2019 gathered an audience of 680,000, proving their immense popularity maintained for many years. To commemorate their 15th debut anniversary last year, TVXQ! released a special album called ‘New Chapter #2: The Truth of Love’, which topped various global music charts. The group successfully started their encore concert, ‘TVXQ! CONCERT –CIRCLE– #welcome’, this past March in Seoul, and will continue touring globally.
