Comprising no less than nine siblings, the Anointed Pace Sisters began their singing career at high school talent shows; they won national renown during the early 1970s after taking home Best Gospel Group honors at the Annual Church of God in Christ Music Convention, and spent the latter half of the decade serving in the Action Revival Team headed by the Rev. Gene Martin. The Anointed Pace Sisters' debut album, U-Know, appeared on Savoy Records in 1982, and remained on Billboard's gospel charts for over a year; subsequent releases include the live My Purpose. LaShun Pace later went on to a solo career; she died on March 21, 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 60. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
