Caroline Marco-Choiseau will carry the Olympic Torch. This is her story:

Caroline devotes a large part of her time to volunteering for associations, both in the sporting and cultural spheres. For many years, she has worked as a sports instructor for the Chartres municipal authorities, where she lends her expertise to the service of the local community. In 2017, Caroline joined the Eure-et-Loir department basketball committee as head of the basketball health commission. In this role, her mission is to develop structures within clubs to improve and maintain the physical and mental health of people with disabilities, thereby helping to promote inclusion in sport.

Alongside her commitment to sport, Caroline is also an active member of the association ‘Les Flammes en Rose’ (whose name is a play on words for the French for pink flamingos), which works to raise awareness of the fight against cancer and support sufferers in their daily lives. Her involvement in this cause is a testament to her generosity and empathy towards others. In addition to her involvement with associations, Caroline plays an active role in the cultural life of her region. On several occasions, she has taken part in the ‘Fabuleux Noël’ Christmas show at Château de Maintenon, helping to enrich the local cultural offering and delighting spectators.

A sportswoman at heart, Caroline has played basketball for many years and continues to explore new passions, including cycling. Her energy and dedication to helping others make her an indispensable pillar of the community, in both sport and culture.
