Paul Klee
Paul Klee, born in Münchenbuchsee, Switzerland in 1879, was a Swiss-German painter known for his highly individual and expressive style. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and later became associated with the Bauhaus school. Klee's early career was influenced by various movements, including Expressionism, Cubism and Surrealism. His work is characterized by its whimsical, often childlike quality, and his use of color and line to create complex, abstract compositions. Notable works include "Twittering Machine" and "Ad Parnassum." Klee's art is held in major collections such as the Museum of Modern Art and the Zentrum Paul Klee.
