Trula Fay Plunkett

Trula F. Plunkett, 65, died early February 16th, 2023 in Virginia Beach along side her family at home. She was born in Plymouth, Indiana on December 30th, 1957. She was the daughter of Edward and Lillie Galbreath, and the youngest of thirteen.
Trula worked at Hackett Catholic Prep High School in Kalamazoo, MI, as a custodian for 32 years where she later retired in 2018. She eventually went on to find work at Bloomingdale Public Schools, until she fully decided to enjoy her retirement in 2022.
In 2004 she married Robert D. Plunkett where they shared 8 special years together prior to his passing in 2012. Trula loved many things in life a few being, fishing, birdwatching, jigsaw puzzles, and her Judge Judy.
She was a devoted mother to her two daughters Camille Boltz, and Moira Hostetler; A loving grandmother to her grandchildren Fidel(Keirsten), Cessalie, and Mateo Rodriguez, Katelyn O'Connell, and Brandon Taylor. At the early age of 65 Trula was gifted the title of GG (Great Grandmother) to Waylon Rodriguez who "tickled her to pieces".
In addition to her daughters and grandchildren, she was survived by her siblings: Kenneth, Cecil, Richard, and Cynthia Cochran, Cheryl James, Margaret Schue, Donna Hostetler, and her Puppy Nacho.
A service remembrance will be held at 11 a.m Monday, February 20th, 2023. It will take place at Holloman- Brown Funeral Home (Great Neck Location). Interment will then follow at the Princess Anne Memorial Park in Virginia Beach.

Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:

January - May

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.

June - December

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
