Surprisingly, it’s December again. While some lay awake at night, wondering how to make this time of year special for loved ones, Raydar’s fast asleep – comforted by the fact our clever design department had the festive foresight to arrange another Christmas win. So, how do you bring more unbridled joy than the humble rope swing? Or more Raydar spirit than a crafted kite collection? Design Director Mark Cooper had the answer. Well, more specifically, the sauce. This year, a few lucky clients received a gift previously thought impossible: Raydar’s secret sauce – bottled and branded. Of course, the creativity, tenacity, and integrity was replaced with all-natural and organic ingredients, but the result was the same: a signature flavour only Raydar can bring to the table. The perfect accompaniment to Kiwi summer, this gift dishes out hits of Raydar spice, even while we’re OOO for the holidays – keeping us top-of-mind and tip-of-tongue all summer long. Last month Torque welcomed Aarque Group Ltd's National Equipment Sales Consultant Steve Wilton-Jones and New Zealand Printer Editor, Bruce Craig into the engine room of Torque’s production facility to discuss our exciting new investment and New Zealand’s first Durst P5 350 HS printer.

We have been making a conscious effort in building on our sustainability plan over the past 4 years, and implementing positive change in our processes to ensure that we do our part to mitigate the environmental effects of our industry.   It began when we started investing in eco-technology and sustainable products. We then looked into our operational processes and systems within our day to day business. By auditing our processes and systems we found the areas that required attention, and started making changes to alleviate the effects of those issues.   It was in this process that Torque decided to approach Toitū Envirocare to guide us in our sustainability journey. Put best on their website, "Toitū is a team of scientists and business experts who have joined together to protect the ecological and economic future of this place."   By formulating a planned approach to managing our environmental impacts, we enabled an environmental management system (EMS). This is the first step in gaining Toitū accreditation. Through their expert guidance and mentorship, Torque put to work the changes required to achieve Toitū enviromark bronze.   We are so proud of the work and improvements that we have put in place to achieve this accreditation. Honouring our commitment to sustainability, our Green Team have started implementing more training in correct waste management and allocation.    Our sustainability journey is not yet complete, we still have many more ways to improve, educate and adapt. As a company we will continue to do the work, for future generations, and our beautiful planet.

A bespoke aisle takeover with a difference - Chobani and Aridzone approached us with the idea of an aisle takeover. “We want to create a rugby field within a supermarket” they said. Together we conceptualised, designed, produced and installed this standout activation – and we couldn’t be happier with the finished result. A rugby stadium inside a supermarket is a pretty remarkable sight all while keeping sustainability front of mind. We thank the teams at Chobani/Aridzone for the opportunity to partner with them on this awesome project!
