WHAT STOOD OUT TO ME TODAY: I received an email from Gallagher Security (thank you Rachel) today asking me to participate in a survey they’re conducting and I think you should too. What stood out to me is their effort to go beyond the usual industry survey scope. Typically, industry reports gather data from their customer base, resulting in insights that often reflect what they want to hear. This approach can be limiting. Gallagher Security is aiming for something broader and more inclusive. I encourage you to participate in their survey. Let’s help collect a wider range of data from people around the world. It is with broken hearts, that we have to share the news that our wonderful friend and colleague Matt Page passed away peacefully on Sunday 30th June, surrounded by his family. At this difficult time, all of our thoughts are with Matt's wife Anna, their son Seth and their daughter Daisy. As many of you know, Matt had been battling his illness for some time and only recently stepped back from work to spend precious time with his family. Matt's courage and pragmatism, particularly since his diagnosis, were both astonishing and humbling and he chose to attack life, and the card he was dealt with, head-on with honesty, positivity and realism. His trademark sense of humour and cheekiness will live long in our hearts and help us, in a unique way, to celebrate his life. Matt's achievements at work and with the Gallagher Security team in the UK and Europe were countless, but it was with his family on the beach, in the water, walking Nellie the labrador, that Matt was always at his most happy. And this is how we will remember him. He was one of life's true gems and we all miss him terribly. And as they say in New Zealand, from everyone at Gallagher Security, go well our friend - you're at peace now.
