Amanda Woods has worked as a reporter for The New York Post since 2015. Today, she is up before dawn covering early breaking crime in the Big Apple, but she also has experience reporting various general assignment stories. A native of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, Amanda completed her undergraduate English degree at the University at Buffalo in 2011 and obtained her master's degree from the Craig Newark Graduate School of Journalism (formerly the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism) in 2012 with a concentration in urban reporting. Prior to joining The Post, she worked in community news, most recently at The Tribeca Trib. In her free time, she enjoys singing, photography and saying "Hi!" to every dog in the neighborhood.
