Davante Adams sends stern message to Chargers social media team after ‘garbage’ post

Davante Adams seemingly has some beef with a division rival’s social media team.

During an appearance on “Up and Adams” on Tuesday, the star Raiders wide receiver clapped back at the Chargers after they posted a picture of him next to a box of mock garbage-flavored Pop Tarts during the team’s schedule reveal in May

“I thought about responding on social media to it, being funny there, but I figured it would be better to just beat their head in real life,” Adams said.

Later in the interview, Adams, 31, gave a stark warning to those who made the posts on X.

“Hopefully, the people that made that post because it’s not the players’ fault, they didn’t have anything to do with the post. This is directed strictly toward the Chargers’ social media page: Please keep my name out of your mouth and show some respect.”

Adams will get a shot at revenge early this coming season — the Raiders will visit the Chargers at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles during Week 1 on Sept. 8.

The six-time Pro Bowler has been anything but trash in five career games against the Chargers, averaging 107 receiving yards with 41 catches and four touchdowns, something Adams has kept top of mind.

“My first game against them, they clearly forgot, I had like 10 catches and 141 yards and a touchdown,” he said during the interview. “And then the next time, that same year, it was like 177 yards and two touchdowns I think it was that game. So I just wanted to kind of remind them of what they’ve been going through as it pertains to playing against me.”

The Raiders and Adams will get a second crack at the Chargers in Las Vegas during Week 18 in the final game of the season.
