Shedeur Sanders called out for ‘bulls—ting’ during practice by rival QB

Potential 2025 No. 1 overall pick Shedeur Sanders had his rivalry with new Miami quarterback Cam Ward renewed over the weekend.

Ward, the former Washington State quarterback who has shared a rivalry with Sanders since their 2023 matchup, flamed the Colorado quarterback for needing a water break during practice in a video shared on social media.

“When y’all started getting water?” Ward asked Sanders in the video posted by Well Off Media. “When y’all started getting on the phones? Y’all bullsh–ting.”

“You mean I can’t stay hydrated, man?” Sanders replied to Ward.

“Y’all bulls–tting, man,” Ward said. “Y’all can’t handle the heat, that’s what it is. It’s cool, though.”

Sanders then said Ward “lives out here” before indirectly telling him to come work out in the high altitude of Colorado, to which Ward said he’s been there and it’s just “colder.”

The back-and-forth then turned to on-field performance.

“I don’t think y’all got better today,” Ward said. “I don’t think you got better today. I did.”

A bystander to the conversation then interjected, seemingly yelling towards Ward “he was the whole reason we here late.”

Ward reacted with a shoulder shrug, saying, “I got better. I might have been the reason we late, bro, but I got better.”

Sanders replied by saying he would improve the next day and then Saturday.

Ward further ripped Sanders’ showing.

“We throwing comebacks and you just loftin’ [the ball], you placing, you not throwing it,” Ward said. “Come on, man”

Sanders called out Ward for the barbs.

“I know, I got another year of development, bro,” Sanders said. “Hey, hey dissin’.”

One X user called out Ward for being late, stating: “Showing up late to the workout then attempting to hold accountability is jokes.”

Buffaloes wide receiver Kaleb Mathis later set the record straight.

“He wasn’t late we all left from the same place. He had to wait on his car from valet,” Mathis posted on X.

While it seemed Ward went hard after Sanders, it may have just been a friendly motivation attempt.

The two clashed last year when Washington State smashed Colorado in a 56-14 blowout victory on Nov. 17, backed by Ward’s 288 yards passing and two touchdowns.

While rivals, Ward and Sanders have a mutual respect for one another as the two have worked together to boost their draft stock while posting videos on Sanders’ YouTube channel, Well Off Media.

Sanders hopes to solidify his No. 1 draft pick status but will need a bit more help from the men in front of him.

His offensive line was a major problem, as Sanders was sacked four times against Washington State.

Sanders was sacked at least three times in each game last season.
