The Giants roster’s locks, bubble players and long shots, based on our spring survey

It is a lie that NFL players compete in training camp for one of 53 spots on a roster.

In reality, more than half of those roster spots are filled on most teams before a single padded practice happens — based upon track record of productivity, contract commitment and draft position.

So, how many spots really will be up for grabs when the Giants report for camp on July 23?

Here is The Post’s three-category breakdown of locks, longshots and everyone in between on the current 91-man roster — one extra spot than most teams because the Giants have an International Pathways exemption.
