Texas husband killed wife’s dog, claiming she loved pooch more than him: cops

A Texas man allegedly brutally killed his wife’s dog, claiming that she loved it more than him, police said.

Pengfei Ji, 31, allegedly inflicted serious injuries on his wife’s teacup Pomeranian during an argument at their Richmond home on Friday evening, the Fort Bend County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office said.

Ji supposedly picked up the small dog by its hind legs and swung it over his shoulder into a dog house multiple times before leaving its body in the yard, Click2Houston reported, citing surveillance footage.

Ji accused his wife of loving her dog more than him, ABC13 added.

The couple took the injured dog to a vet in Cinco Ranch, where it was pronounced dead.

The vet called local authorities to report the incident, the constable’s office said.

Ji was subsequently arrested and charged with third degree felony cruelty to animals.

He may also be charged with evidence tampering due to allegations that he deleted the incriminating surveillance footage from his wife’s phone after it was viewed by police, ABC13 said.

The officer who initially saw the video noted in his report that he would like to never see the heinous footage again, the outlet reported.

“This just leaves me speechless,” Constable Chad Norvell said of the troubling arrest.

“I’m glad we were able to put him in jail and that he’ll face justice for his horrendous actions. I send my condolences to his wife on the loss of her precious companion.”

The Fort Bend County Precinct 1’s Constable Office did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for a comment.
