Biden’s debate disaster ‘showcased the very reason’ Dems indicted Donald Trump, son Eric says

Last night was as good for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign as it was terrible for Joe Biden’s — and his family is thrilled.

“I am incredibly proud of my father‘s performance in the debate,” Trump’s son Eric, 40, told The Post. “He had a tremendous night.”

The former president took a roaring win over the current chief executive in their first presidential debate Thursday night in Atlanta after a raspy-voiced Biden stumbled over his arguments and even seemed to freeze completely at one point.

It’s triggered a barrage of panicked calls for Biden to step down so Democrats can field a more competitive candidate to take on Trump in November.

And a Trump family victory lap: “Last night showcased the very reason why the Biden administration has spent the last three years trying to prosecute and indict my father,” Eric said.

The public seems to share the sentiment. Flash polls conducted after the debate show most viewers think Trump was the night’s winner — with only 19% of women saying Biden bested Trump in a YouGov survey.

The Democratic National Convention will begin August 19 in Chicago — and it’s never been less clear what will happen.
