The summer is here, and that means it is time for another edition of counting down the top 25 players on the Jets roster.
We started doing this countdown back in 2012 as a way to fill the dead time between minicamp and training camp. This year was tough. There are so many new faces and also the roster is deeper than I can remember.
Just a reminder: We do not put rookies on the list because no one has any idea how a rookie will play in the NFL.
Before we get started with this year’s rundown, here are the players who have dropped off the list from last year, with their 2023 ranking in parentheses: Carl Lawson (8), John Franklin-Myers (12), Mecole Hardman (13), Duane Brown (15), Jordan Whitehead (17), Connor McGovern (18), Bryce Huff (19), Laken Tomlinson (20), C.J. Uzomah (21), Al Woods (22), Corey Davis (23), Michael Carter (24) and Mekhi Becton (25).
