Mark Schlereth won’t back down from his strong opinion of former Patriots coach Bill Belichick’s relationship with a young woman nearly 50 years his junior.
The former NFL offensive lineman-turned-media personality tore into Belichick previously during his 104.3 The Fan sports radio show in Denver that he hosts with Mike Evans.
The comments were far from kind, with Schlereth calling the legendary coach a “clown,” “a pig” and pointing out that Belichick was 48 years old when Jordon Hudson was a baby.
But some fans on social media didn’t appreciate Schlereth’s take and criticized him on social media, with one saying that “men who gossip are lame” and the other calling him “just jealous of [Bill].”
“He’s entitled to do whatever he wants to do and I am completely entitled to my opinion if you don’t like it pound sand,” Schlereth posted in response on X.
Schlereth is just one of many people to have weighed in on Belichick’s romance with Hudson, a 23-year-old former cheerleader at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts, as headline after headline has emerged since their relationship became public knowledge earlier this month.
Belichick reportedly met Hudson during a flight to Florida in 2021 and the two started a romantic relationship in 2022 after he split with his longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday — with their breakup eventually being reported in September of 2023.
Page Six reported that month that Belichick and Holliday had been involved in a drawn-out, back-and-forth breakup for nearly a year.
Since Belichick and his Gen Z boo were outed by TMZ, the couple has been more out and about than previously with the two captured taking out Belichick’s $225,000 boat in Nantucket and then spotted out for a dinner date.
A new report from People on Tuesday indicated that those close to the former NFL coach felt that the relationship wasn’t “a serious, long-term thing.”
Belichick and Hudson have not addressed the relationship publicly.
