‘Sandlot’ actor Thomas Guiry ordered to pay fine for hurling dumbbell at neighbor’s Jeep, showing up at home with a knife

It’s a “Smalls” price to pay.

Actor Thomas Guiry, who played Scotty Smalls in the 1993 cult classic movie “The Sandlot,” was ordered to pay a nearly $800 fine Monday morning after admitting to hurling a dumbbell into the windshield of a neighbor’s Jeep — and later returning to the home with a knife.

Guiry, 43, pleaded guilty to assault and battery, disorderly conduct and malicious damaging and was ordered by a judge to pay fines totaling $757 following the bizarre altercation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, earlier this month.

Three calls were made to 911 on June 2 following two intense hours of chaos and screaming, one of the victims recalled in court Monday, WBTW reported.

Surveillance footage obtained by TMZ revealed a shirtless Guiry throwing a 35-pound dumbbell at the windshield of his neighbor’s white Jeep, creating a massive crater in the glass before rolling off the hood of the vehicle.

Shocking footage then shows Guiry strolling through the neighbor’s yard back across the street to his home as if nothing happened.

The Horry County Sheriff’s Office said the Jeep’s owner yelled to Guiry that his window had been “shattered,” to which Guiry responded: “That sucks man, I’ll pay you back, I’m sorry, I’m gonna get you back.

Guiry later returned to the neighbor’s home, and was seen in alarming doorbell camera footage approaching their front door brandishing a knife.

One of the victims said Guiry followed her inside the house with the knife still in his hand before her husband confronted him in the garage.

When police arrived, they found Guiry standing in the middle of the street asking about his wife’s safety.

The former child actor later admitted to breaking the windshield, according to a police report, he told the neighbor, “I did it. I’m sorry man. I’m coming back to get you, [I’m] sorry brother. I’ll pay you back.”

Guiry admitted to doing the damage, telling the neighbor he would pay him back. TMZ

Guiry was booked on charges of third-degree assault and battery and malicious injury to personal property.

He was taken to J. Reuben Long Detention Center on June 2 and released the next day on $1,000 bond.

It was not immediately clear what caused the dispute.

The bizarre incident was not Guiry’s first run-in with the law.

In 2013, while living in Hamilton, New Jersey, the actor was arrested for assault and causing bodily injury on a public servant when he headbutted a cop in a drunken fight at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.

While he is best known for his leading role in “The Sandlot” when he was just 11 years old, Guiry has appeared in numerous other movies over the years including “Lassie” and “Mystic River.”
