Scottie Scheffler holds baby during Amanda Balionis interview after Travelers protester chaos

Scottie Scheffler was all smiles on Sunday, and it wasn’t just because of his win at the Travelers Championship.

The victory, Scheffler’s sixth in his last 10 starts, was capped by getting to celebrate it with his wife and newborn son, Bennett, in an adorable scene as the golfer watched as Meredith made her way down to the green with the baby in her arms.

Meredith could be heard on the broadcast talking to the baby as she made her way down.

“There he is. Are you so proud of him?” she said to Bennett.

The audio cuts out just as the family embraces in celebration and Scheffler is passed Bennett.

Sunday was the second victory that Scheffler has secured since the birth of his son, the other coming at the Memorial.

“I would say the afternoons when we get home look a bit different,” Scheffler told CBS Sports’ Amanda Balionis while still holding Bennett in his arms.

“There’s much less sitting around and watching TV. It’s sitting around trying to figure out what’s going on with our little ones, but it’s been a ton of fun. I’m fortunate to be surrounded by great friends out here and it’s awesome.”

Scheffler had already mentioned the shift in life as a pro golfer since the birth of his son in May.

The world No. 1 golfer told reporters during a recent weather delay that his downtime had looked a little different.

“Meredith and Bennett were there, so we just hung out, changed a diaper, and tried to get him to stop crying,” he said.

Scheffler won the Travelers by shooting par on the first playoff hole against Tom Kim.

They were both tied at 22-under par after regulation.

It also came after climate protesters stormed the 18th hole, causing police to have to intervene and take the individuals away in handcuffs.
