Joe Biden’s frailty is no ‘cheap fake’: American voters WILL believe their eyes

The Biden White House is yet again asking you not to believe your lyin’ eyes — this time about the president’s (quite obvious, and frighteningly rapid) advancing frailty.

Just in the past week or so Joe has frozen up at a Juneteenth musical celebration and a megabucks LA fundraiser, where he was led off the stage by his former boss Barack Obama

He also pulled one of his trademark wander-offs during a public meeting with Italian PM Giorgia Meloni.

The administration’s response to The Post’s reporting on these worrying and embarrassing moments?

White House flack Karine Jean-Pierre is calling them “cheap fakes,” i.e. dishonestly edited pieces of right-wing propaganda, and trying to pretend Biden’s behavior was normal.

This despite their being captured on video and seen by millions.

No, the only cheap fake here is what Jean-Pierre and her boss are peddling.

Anyone observing Biden since he came into office will have noticed the decline in his speech, his bouts of mental fog and confusion.

Dems might not like it, but instead of offering a rebuttal — because there is none — the White House sharpshoots our journalists.

(And how utterly demeaning that the White House daily briefing should devolve into petulancies over whether Biden was the only one not dancing at that Juneteenth bash.)

Jean-Pierre applauded a piece in a “conservative” magazine, the Washington Examiner, for its alleged defense of Biden at the G7 — except it wasn’t defending the prez, just quoting British PM Rishi Sunak on the subject. Another KJP cheap fake.

And she failed to highlight concern over Biden’s age and fitness in liberal media going back months.

Listen to what’s appeared in the New York Times:

  • “No matter how powerful your rhetoric, you can’t browbeat Americans out of a concern as obvious and relatable as the fact that age matters,” prominent Never Trumper David French fretted in February.
  • “If [Biden’s] unwillingness to face his own limitations now clears the way for Trump’s restoration, it will be not just a mistake but a tragedy,” thundered lefty Michelle Goldberg that same month.

But obvious, clumsy deceptions are this administration’s stock in trade.

Like when DHS head Alejandro Mayorkas said that he and his employers “don’t bear responsibility for a broken system” causing our border crisis. (They do.)

Or when KJP herself took the podium to try and sell the public on the idea that Bidenomics is great by pointing out that “gas prices remain well below the peak back in 2022.” (They’re still up bigtime over where they were under Trump, and they were put there by Bidenflation.)

Those are just two examples from a list that would fill volumes

Biden and his flunkies have such a low opinion of the public that they think this stuff will fly, and in quantity.

Every piece of polling evidence out there suggests it won’t.

And that’s no cheap fake.
