NYPD releases video of alleged predator suspected of sexually assaulting 13-year-old girl in NYC park
Cops have released video and photos of a suspected predator who allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl in a Queens park last week.
The young man was seen riding a bike on a sidewalk, according to a video and photos released by the NYPD on social media.
The 13-year-old girl was with a 13-year-old boy at Kissena Park in Flushing Meadows when the attacker pulled a “machete-style” blade and forced the pair to head to a secluded part of the park around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, cops said.
The creep tied their hands with shoelaces and molested the teen girl, NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny previously said.
He then took both teens’ phones, and told them to wait there 20 minutes after he fled, according to police.
The children returned to their nearby school after the heinous incident in the 235-acre park and alerted staff, who called 911, cops said.
“New Yorkers, we need your help in tracking down this monster who held a child at knife point and sexually assaulted her in Kissena Park,” NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Operations Kaz Daughtry said in a post on X.
“If you know him, if you see him, call the NYPD at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) and help put him where he belongs, behind bars. All calls are anonymous. Let’s show him how New Yorkers come together to stop evil—he can run, but he can’t hide, we will catch him.”
The suspected perp was previously described by cops as a light-skinned man in his 20s with a heavy Spanish accent and a tattoo of a boar or similar animal with red eyes and red horns on the left side of his chest.
Days after the sickening attack, investigators were able to confirm video of the suspect on 56th Avenue on the perimeter of the park, law enforcement sources said.
The sexual assault has left surrounding residents on edge while a heavy police presence in the park has been notable.
“Everybody is tense since the news because we all have small children that are playing here, and it happened in the day,” father Alankar Ngar told The Post over the weekend.
“You can almost understand if it’s a case of the night, but it happened in the day, where we can tell our children to play freely. It’s scary.”
