Gradey Dick is at it again.
After setting the internet ablaze with his viral jersey swap with Anthony Black of the Orlando Magic, Grady Dick — the Raptors’ 13th overall selection in the 2023 draft — had some more fun with his last name while wishing teammate Immanuel Quickley a happy birthday.
Quickley, a former Knick, turned 25 on Monday and Dick posted to his Instagram story to honor the occasion in an NSFW way, putting up a photo of jerseys with both players’ names, but having the last three letters in Quickley’s name blocked out to create an X-rated phrase.
Quickley reposted the image to his Instagram story along with the caption, “My boy couldn’t wait.”
Dick’s sense of humor was on full display when he and Black swapped jerseys following a game between the Raptors and Magic in March.
The two lined up so that the jerseys would display another lewd message.
The Magic’s social media team had originally shared the image before someone realized the inappropriate message the two last names spelled out and deleted the post.
Video from the game seemed to show both Dick and Black were well aware of what they had been up to when they decided to swap jerseys after that fateful March NBA game.
Dick claimed to reporters that Black was “my guy” and that they had played against one another for quite some time.
“I’ve been playing with him since or against him and with him around middle school days. So that’s been my guy for a long time, and you know guys jersey swap for their boys. So, that’s my friend,” Dick said at the time.
He added later, “If I played with them growing up, and they’re my guys, then I’ll jersey swap with them.”
Monday likely won’t be the last time that Dick has some fun with his last name.
