President Biden expected to rake in $28 million from star-studded LA fundraiser

President Biden’s reelection campaign is on track to haul in $28 million from a star-studded fundraiser in Los Angeles Saturday night.

The event will feature President Biden along with an A-list cast of extras including former President Barack Obama, Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Jason Bateman, Jack Black, Kathryn Hahn, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and more, CNN reported.

The cash exceeds the $25 million Team Biden took in during a similar blowout event in March with Obama and former President Bill Clinton at Radio City Music Hall, which featured the three presidents in a conversation moderated by Stephen Colbert.

The Los Angeles fundraiser at the Peacock Theater will follow much the same model, this time moderated by Jimmy Kimmel. Tickets for the big night will range from $250 to $500,000.

The highest priced seats will net donors front row access, a photo with both presidents and entry to a reception and afterparty.

The fundraiser will probably be Biden’s last big money evening before the 2024 presidential election and will be crucial to blunting the momentum of Trump’s recent influx of cash.

In April Trump raised more than $50 million in a fundraiser in Florida.

Tens of millions more have flowed into Trump’s war-chest after he was found guilty last month of falsifying business records to conceal payments to former porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election.
