Cavinder twins hit SI Swimsuit runway in bikinis after announcing Miami Hurricanes return

Haley and Hanna Cavinder rocked the runway in a very familiar place Saturday.

The reinstated Hurricanes guards participated in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show at the W South Beach over the weekend as part of Miami Swim Week, less than two months after announcing their return to Miami’s women’s basketball team.

The 23-year-old Cavinder twins rocked blue and orange bikinis during the big show, which featured other Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models such as Jena Sims, the wife of golfer Brooks Koepka.

The athletes and social media sensations also modeled black-and-white patterned two pieces.

“WHAT A DREAM,” Hanna exclaimed of the moment on Instagram, to which Sports Illustrated Swimsuit alum Olivia Dunne replied, “Oh my gyatt.”

The siblings’ Sports Illustrated Swimsuit appearance in South Florida comes on the heels of an eventful spring, when they revealed they’ll be taking their talents back to Miami for the 2024-25 season.

Hanna came out of retirement in April to join her former Hurricanes squad only for Haley, who committed to the TCU Horned Frogs in November, to switch gears shortly after.

“Given the news yesterday that my sister was returning to play ball at Miami and after careful consideration and thought, I’ve decided to return to the University of Miami and play with Hanna for our final and 5th year,” Haley posted on Instagram at the time.

“There is nothing more important than family and the bond I share with my Twin sister. Being presented with the opportunity to play together one more time is something I cannot pass up. I am excited for this upcoming season and cant wait to play at the U.”

The Cavinders were part of the Miami roster that reached the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament in 2023. The Hurricanes fell to the eventual champion LSU Tigers.

Haley averaged 12.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per game during the 2022-23 season at Miami.

It was reported last June the sisters had made $2 million from NIL deals.
