The carnivalesque sights and sounds at CPAC: Trump rappers and drag queen ‘Lady Maga’

A carnival-like atmosphere infused the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Maryland as the annual Conservative Political Action Committee met this week.

In addition to the usual suits and ties, fans of former president Donald Trump were joined by rappers brandishing Trump bling, a head-to-toe drag queen named “Lady Maga,” and merchants hawking goods like Trump-branded hammocks and a line of presidential-themed cigars.
