Justin Fields next team odds shift drastically after following Falcons on social media

The dots are starting to connect quarterback Justin Fields with the Atlanta Falcons.

Some movement in the next team odds market has the Falcons as -130 favorites at DraftKings to land the Ohio State product, ahead of the Steelers at +350.

After seemingly unfollowing the Bears on social media, Fields, in turn, followed Falcons playmakers Drake London, Kyle Pitts and Bijan Robinson.

It would appear that Atlanta is his preferred destination in a potential deal, although, there has been chatter that the Bears could hold onto both Fields and expected No. 1 pick Caleb Williams.

The sizeable odds shift once had Pittsburgh as the favored destination for Fields’ services, opening at -125 when ESPN’s Adam Schefter hinted that coach Mike Tomlin is a “big fan” of Fields.

Despite the reports of the Bears possibly having Fields and Williams on the same team, the safer bet is on Fields playing football elsewhere in 2024.

The Bears had high hopes for Fields, but Williams, the USC quarterback, has been touted by some as a generational who may finally solve the franchise’s long-standing quarterback issues.

As with all next team odds, a lot of this market runs on rumors and hearsay, with social media chatter being a central sticking point with potential bettors.

And no one is getting rich on this, as next team odds typically have a max win below four figures.

If you’re looking for big-time money to come in on the market like this, it’ll probably never happen even as sports betting continues to grow as information-based markets could be a potential breeding ground for inside information.

Betting on the NFL?

An exception to this rule is NFL draft betting, which typically has much higher limits and a far more liquid market.

Williams has -1200 odds (92.31 percent implied) to be drafted No. 1 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.
