Chiefs’ Harrison Butker provides jersey for parade shooting victim Lisa Lopez-Galvan to be laid to rest in

Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker was Lisa Lopez-Galvan’s favorite player.

She was wearing his white No. 7 jersey when she was killed during the Kansas City parade shooting last Wednesday.

After a relative posted on social media asking where the family could find a white Butker jersey because Lopez-Galvan’s husband of 22 years wanted his wife to be laid to rest wearing one, Butker sent one to the family.

A representative for the kicker told the Kansas City Star that the jersey reached Lopez-Galvan’s family.

“My wife Isabelle and I are heartbroken by the murder of Lisa due to degenerate violence,” Butker said in a statement. “Murder is a sin that cries out to God for vengeance and I pray the men involved in this tragedy will be brought to justice. Hearing that she was a fan of my outspokenness for our shared Catholic Faith makes this even more personal. I am honored to provide a jersey to the family for her to wear. While the family is mourning their loss and grappling with their numerous injuries, I will continue to pray for their healing and the repose of Lisa’s soul.”

A person with the handle @SkywalkerKcmo, whom the Kansas City Star identified as a family member of Lopez-Galvan’s, published a post on X on Sunday, which has since been deleted, saying the family couldn’t find a white Butker jersey and was asking where they could find one for Lopez-Galvan, a 43-year-old mother of two.

The relative, who clarified after deleting the post that Lopez-Galvan’s husband made the request and not her son, then posted a photo of Lopez-Galvan wearing the jersey at the parade.

A GoFundMe was set up to benefit Lopez-Galvan’s family, and as of Wednesday morning, the $75,000 goal had been far surpassed at more than $378,000.

Taylor Swift, who is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, donated $100,000 to the GoFundMe.

Kelce separately donated $100,000 to benefit two young sisters who were injured in the shooting, Page Six reported on Friday.

Butker, 28, just finished his seventh season with the Chiefs and has won three Super Bowls with the team.
