Prince Harry and Meghan Markle clap back at Canada trip backlash: We ‘will not be broken’

Royally peeved.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are hitting back at critics over their trip to Canada.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the training camp for the 2025 Invictus Games in British Columbia on Wednesday.

Their rep told the Mirror on Thursday: “We’ve heard time and time again that certain opportunities are make or break for the couple. They’re still here.”

“They’re still working and pursuing what they believe in, despite constantly being challenged and criticized. This couple will not be broken,” their camp stated.

Some weren’t happy with the couple’s vacation to the great maple country following King Charles’ cancer diagnosis.

Their scathing statement comes after a source told the Telegraph that the “Suits” alum, 42, and Harry, 39, “have three days to prove they can behave” in Vancouver for the sports games.

Harry and Meghan’s snow-filled trip comes just days after they launched their Sussex.com website and the prince’s quick trip to visit Charles, 75, amid his cancer battle in England.

Harry went on an urgent trip to London on Feb. 6 due to his “worry” over his father’s illness — and his conversation with Charles only lasted for a reported 30 minutes.

Harry and Meghan’s website, meanwhile, was not well-received, with critics calling it “self-serving” for commercial gain.

One penned, “Umm, these two nincompoops do realize they are not “Sussex,” right? The gall of buying Sussex.com, and including a royal crest, though they hate the royals, is ridiculous.”

“’The Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’ Grandiose, arrogant & self-serving,” another user wrote. “If this isn’t an attempt to pre-empt their anticipated removal from the Royal Family website (and other actions), it should be the catalyst to do so. Get on with it.”

While the former actress’ coat of arms was branded on the revamped site, the “Spare” author’s seal was not used.

The website also allegedly betrays the late Queen Elizabeth II, as the couple reportedly promised they would not use their titles for financial gain after they stepped back as senior members of the Firm in 2020.

Before the backlash, Meghan stated she was a “fan” of the page’s shiny new design and praised the creative team behind it, who also had a hand in her former lifestyle website, Tig.

“There is a reason I have worked with Ryan and the talented team at Article for a decade: their attention to detail, their creativity and care, and the thoughtful approach to design as well as to the user experience,” Markle said in an endorsement on Article’s website.

“They’re not just designers; they are collaborators who elevate your ideas into visual identities. They’re a very special company. Plus they’re Canadian, so I’m a fan.”

The Invictus Games founder, for his part, has since reportedly shoved the Sussex.com criticism under the rug.

“It isn’t any sort of problem for the rest of the royal family. It hasn’t even been part of a conversation,” a source told the Times Thursday.

“Harry is more concerned about the health and well-being of the king and Kate [Middleton] and thinks that is where the focus should be.”
