Justin Fields next team odds: Steelers favorites to land Bears quarterback

The NFL offseason is here.

One of the biggest questions hanging over the league before the 2024 NFL Draft is the future of Bears quarterback Justin Fields.

Chicago currently holds the No. 1 and No. 9 overall picks in the draft and could look to move off Fields before next season despite a strong finish to the season for the third-year signal caller.

With USC QB and consensus top prospect Caleb Williams there for the taking, Vegas oddsmakers think they’ll do just that.

Fields is most likely to be the starting quarterback for the Steelers come next season, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

Pittsburgh is -125 to land Fields, who is entering the final year of a four-year, $18.9 million contract next season, while the Bears are +200 for a Fields reunion, the second-best odds on the board.

The Steelers became the clear favorite for his services earlier this week after cutting Mitch Trubisky and ESPN’s Adam Schefter saying on “The Pat McAfee Show” that head coach Mike Tomlin is a “big fan” of Fields.

Schefter reported on Super Bowl Sunday that the Bears could potentially hang on to Fields while still drafting Williams at No. 1, though noted it was an unlikely scenario.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported in January that Fields could be worth between a second- and third-round pick in a trade.

Betting on the NFL?

The Patriots and Falcons, who are both expected to be in the market for a new quarterback this offseason, are third- and fourth-most likely destinations for Fields, according to DraftKings.

The Broncos, Commanders and Raiders — who enter the offseason with questions under center of their own — are seen as bigger long shots for Fields but still in the hunt.
