UFC Fight Night predictions, picks: Vegas 86 best bets for Pyfer vs. Hermansson

Las Vegas is the city of the country this week ahead of UFC Fight Night and the 2024 Super Bowl.

Indeed, plenty of sportsbooks will offer obscure cross-sport UFC-NFL parlays at long odds.

But feel free to make your own, taking UFC and NFL picks from myself as well as a host of NFL experts at The Post.

Below, we target a few fights on the eve of Super Bowl 2024.

Last week, we were lucky to go 2-2 and earn a profit of 0.36 units.

We’re now 4-2 on the year and 3.46 units of profit.

Here, we break down the best bets for UFC Vegas 86.

UFC Fight Night predictions and best bets

Joe Pyfer vs. Jack Hermansson

In the main event, Joe Pyfer comes in as a strong favorite against Jack Hermansson and this is a weird betting line.

Pyfer is a durable fighter with strong power, but Hermansson has very good cardio and volume.

Pyfer will look for the kill shot but, if he doesn’t get it, Hermansson has everything you could need in a fight that goes past the second round.

Hermansson will need to utilize his leg kicks, which he has done well in the past. Pyfer is vulnerable against leg kicks to boot, so this is a good weakness to target.

I’ll go the underdog here in a shocker; Hermansson probably has more ways to win if he can avoid the knockout early.

Pick: Hermansson by decision (+700, BetMGM)

Rodolfo Vieira vs. Armen Petrosyan

Jiu-jitsu master Rodolfo Vieria is a tough guy to bet on these days. Coming into his fight with Armen Petrosyan, Vieira is going to need to get Petrosyan to the mat.

If he doesn’t, Petrosyan is going to have excellent cardio and isn’t the easiest guy to control in the grappling.

Vieira is an excellent jiu-jitsu practitioner, but his striking his far below average, while Petrosyan is extremely sharp in the striking.

It’s also impossible to trust Vieira, given his cardio issues. Don’t forget that he went 0-20 on takedowns against Chris Curtis.

Bet the underdog at +105 on BetMGM for the moneyline; Petrosyan is someone to trust, while Vieira has too many fraudulent characteristics.

There’s a solid prop value on BetRivers as well.

Pick: Petrosyan by decision (+335, BetRivers)
