Pizza Hut location goes viral after closing for ‘unforeseen circumcisions’

A Canadian Pizza Hut is going viral after employees posted a sign on its front door with an unfortunate typo.

“Due to unforeseen circumcisions the dining room will be closed tonight,” the sign on the restaurant in Timmins, northern Ontario, read last week, according to CTV News.

“Sorry for the inconvenience.”

The hilarious sign was ridiculed online, where it quickly went viral.

“The perfect typo doesn’t exi—” quipped one X user.

“Star Trek” legend George Takei joked back, “Typos are my worst enema!”

Takei’s tweet was viewed more than 85,000 times.

The restaurant had a good sense of humor about the response — and even put up a new sign offering a new cheeky deal to customers.

“In light of recent CIRCUMSTANCES, for a limited time when you buy one regular priced medium or large pizza for only $5,” the sign posted on Facebook said, listing several deal items.

“No tip required!” it added added.

The shop blamed the typo on autocorrect.

“We at Pizza Hut appreciate all our loyal customers!!! And how you’re having fun with our little mishap yesterday,” the location’s general manager Marc Girard posted on Facebook. “Damm (sic) auto correct.”

“Marketing done right,” one amused person commented on the post.

The local hospital’s charitable foundation even jumped in on the fun, according to CTV News.

“Hey Timmins Pizza Hut … stick to Pizza, we’ll handle the circumcisions,” the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation wrote on social media Thursday, with an edited version of the sign.
