‘George Santos’ review: 4 stars for disgraced, hilarious former NY congressman

In the end, George Santos went down with the jaw-dropping drama of a season finale of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and sashayed away.

How fitting for a disgraced former congressman who was also allegedly a fabulous former drag queen in Brazil named Kitara Ravache.

Santos was the craziest show in Congress — and, in 2023, what a remarkable achievement that is.

Theater review

GEORGE SANTOS

Through Dec. 1 in the House of Representatives, Washington, DC

Yes, Santos is a con artist, a thief, definitely a liar and he did a huge disservice to concerned voters in Queens and on Long Island. He’s the sixth person to ever be expelled from the House — a national embarrassment.

He was also totally hilarious.

An endless source of sensational entertainment.

A four-star, run-don’t-walk attraction.

Remember when Santos claimed to be Jewish and then when somebody pointed out that he, um, isn’t, he clarified that he meant “Jew-ish? This is a lost episode of “Seinfeld.”

We’ll never forget how the fashionable fraudster wore a $1,350 Burberry jacket, $695 Ferragamo loafers and a $9,759 Cartier Santos de Cartier watch (I apologize to the voter in Syosset whose Visa probably paid for that wardrobe) to the House Chamber and still looked like your college TA.

That maniacal, squeaky laugh during interviews, as if he was a “Batman” villain padlocked in Arkham Asylum, will ring in New Yorkers’ inner ears for years to come.

He even falsely claimed to be one of the producers of the 2011 flop Broadway musical “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.” This guy is a character from Mel Brooks’ “The Producers”!

I review hundreds of movies and theater shows each season, and Santos tops ’em all.

Santos in drag
Santos allegedly was a drag queen in Brazil named Kitara Ravache.

Even now, I’m not entirely convinced that we won’t soon learn that the man was Sacha Baron Cohen in a mask all along.

While getting George out of Congress is good for New York, I hope it’s not the last we’ve seen of this mesmerizing circus act.

Perhaps there’s an opening for Kitara at Lips Drag Queen Show Palace on East 56th Street.
