Deer captured leaping over cars, crashing into truck for sale as buyer watches
Oh, deer!
A man was car shopping when a deer crashed right into the truck he had his eyes on — and it was all caught on video.
Jay Vaughan listed his car for sale on November 4, and got an unexpected viewer coming to check out the offering.
A prospective buyer pulled up to Vaughan’s home in Mays Landing, New Jersey, looking to buy his 2007 Chevy Silverado when mere moments later, a deer leaped over two other cars in the driveway and landed right into the truck.
“I listed my 2007 Chevy Silverado on Facebook marketplace and a guy called from north Jersey and wanted the truck 1000% as long as the body was as nice as it looked in the pictures,” Vaughan told Newsflare.
“I assured him that it was mint and he said he was driving down with the cash. Literally, as he pulled up on the driveway, that was when a six-month-old buck decided to appear.”
Vaughan caught the “chaos” in his peripheral vision since he was waiting for the buyer to pull up to the house at the same time.
The animal left a huge dent on the side of the truck — which had been in mint condition until it went deer-ectly into it.
“There are lots of deer around here, but this is the first time we’ve ever seen a deer trained to negotiate the sale of a vehicle,” Vaughan said.
The white-tailed deer might have disrupted the sale, but that didn’t stop the potential buyer.
“The truck that hit like a champ. The buyer still took the car. He got a good deal on it, even with the deer dent, which is easily repairable,” Vaughan shared.
“The buyer of the truck saw the incident but there wasn’t much to say besides, ‘Can I get a copy of that video?'”
