Diamondbacks vs. Rangers pick

Diamondbacks vs. Rangers in the World Series. Just like everyone expected.

I have no clue which of these teams will take Game 1, but the over/under of eight runs on BetMGM Sportsbook is intriguing to me. That number just seems a tad low for these lineups, so the over might be the play.

Zac Gallen will get the start for the D-Backs in Game 1. He’s had an up and down postseason, surrendering two earned runs in each of his first two playoff starts, then allowing nine combined earned runs in both his starts against the Phillies. In all, Gallen has a 5.24 ERA for this playoffs. He will once again be pitching against a deep and talented lineup, and he’ll have to do it in a hitter’s ballpark.

Rangers starter Nathan Eovaldi has been much better this postseason with a 2.42 playoff ERA. Even though Texas won all four games Eovaldi started this postseason, I still don’t trust the Rangers’ bullpen to completely suppress Arizona’s bats.
