Sean McVay vows not to miss Rams game for son’s birth: ‘Knows better than to come during a game’

Sean McVay clearly believes in the art of manifestation.

McVay’s wife, Veronika Khomyn, is expecting a baby boy this month.

Speaking with reporters on Wednesday, the Rams head coach was confident he would not need to miss one of the team’s games to be there for the birth of his son.

“My wife’s doing great. I think there was a lot made about me missing a game. I’m not gonna miss a game. My son knows better than to come during a game,” McVay said.

He added that he “didn’t want to get too specific with all the planning, but unless something goes totally unforeseen, everything’s on track for what the planning and all that kind of stuff was.”

“Everything is kind of on schedule for what we had planned and do not see that interfering with anything as it relates football-wise,” the coach continued.

Last year, Khomyn opened up about the hardest part of being married to the Super Bowl-winning head coach.

“Time together. For sure,” said Khomyn, who married McVay last June at a festive ceremony in Beverly Hills.

“Time for friends & family. When so much responsibility comes with a job it’s hard to be able to be present in all areas of life all at the same time. It’s impossible.

“He chose this career path, he has so much passion for football and it provides for our life & future. I also know what I signed up for. So it’s just one of those things you can look at as a temporary challenge but it’s also a blessing in so many ways and as long as he’s happy so am I.”
