It’s nice to have a friend like Erin Andrews.
During an appearance Tuesday on the “TODAY” show, the longtime Fox NFL reporter reflected on the moment she and her “Calm Down” podcast host, Charissa Thompson, hyped up pal Travis Kelce to Taylor Swift — with the couple recently enjoying a PDA-filled weekend in New York.
“I have left him alone, although I am going to bug him this week because I just want to check in,” said Andrews, who joked about being “the new Bumble,” a dating app.
“I know him obviously better than her. He looks adorable.”
Kelce, 34, first expressed interest in Swift, 33, over the summer after he failed to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it during her “Eras Tour” stop in Kansas City.
A short while later, Andrews and Thompson pleaded to Swift to give the Chiefs tight end a chance.
“Please try our friend Travis. He is fantastic … Take us up on this. Go on a date with this guy. Do it for America,” Andrews said on an August installment of “Calm Down.”
Fast forward to October, with Kelce and Swift stepping out holding hands on back-to-back nights.
“He’s got a glow to him,” Andrews said. “That’s a glow up, girls. He looks fantastic.”
Swift was first linked to Kelce in September, the same month her appearance at a Chiefs game sent the internet into a frenzy.
The pop megastar has since attended two more games, even rocking a jacket from Andrews’ WEAR by Erin Andrews clothing collection during the Chiefs’ 19-8 win over the Broncos last Thursday.
“I’m a huge fan of his, work with him, he’s great,” Andrews gushed of Kelce, who also sent the Fox star’s newborn son, Mack, “an adorable baby gift just out of the blue.”
“I was just like ‘Check, check and check,'” she said.
With the Chiefs hosting the Chargers on Sunday, it remains to seen if Swift will make a return trip to Arrowhead.
