Britney Spears blasts fans who called police after knife-dancing act: ‘I’ve been bullied in my home for so long’

She’s calling out “Toxic” behavior.

Britney Spears slammed fans Saturday after local police were called to perform a wellness check on the singer following a post on social media that saw Spears, 41, dancing with a pair of knives.

The “…Oops I did it again” singer took to Instagram to chastise fans claiming that it was “a joke.”

“Is it a joke in the news again with welfare checks,” slammed Spears. “Come on America … we cooler than that, right??”

“The officers came to my home and said they would not leave until they spoke to me as people do 4-minute performances with them,” continued Spears. “I am getting an apology. I’ve been bullied in my home for so long now…ITS ENOUGH!”

“Don’t talk about it, come on, let’s DO,” wrote the “Womanizer” songstress. “As my mom does the silent treatment when paps ask questions about her own daughter as if I’m in the wrong…nope it’s an old game. People need to be responsible for their actions! It’s about power for cops.”

In a follow-up post, Spears claimed the knives were fake and were rented by her team “from Hand Prop shop in LA.”

“I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA,” wrote the singer in the post. “These are not real knives. No one needs to worry or call the police.”

According to Spears, she was trying to emulate Shakira’s 2023 VMA performance.

“I’m trying to imitate one of my favorite performers Shakira … a performance I was inspired by !!!  Cheers to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks,” concluded Spears.

The Post reached out to Spears for comment.

Spears’ initial video, which was posted on Tuesday, showed the “Baby, One More Time” crooner performing the dance to an unknown song at the entrance of her California home clad in a salmon-colored polka dot crop top and white bottoms.

“I started playing in the kitchen with knives today,” wrote Spears in the caption. “Don’t worry they are NOT real knives.”

“Halloween is soon,” added Spears.

The icon can be seen smiling at the camera as she clangs them together while twirling and twirling around.

At one point in the video, Spears’ dogs meander into the frame but scamper away as soon as Spears clangs the knives together.

Even though Spears claimed that this was her first time playing with the sharp object, TMZ reported in their documentary, “Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom,” that the “I’m a Slave 4 U” crooner has had a “fascination with knives” for years.

TMZ founder Harvey Levin, who is featured in the documentary, claims that the pop star lives “in mortal fear” that someone will come to her home in the middle of the night, “strap her to a gurney and take her to a psych ward.”

A source close to Spears told the outlet that the singer — who was involuntarily hospitalized twice in 2008 and was sent to a mental health facility in 2019 — has a “constant fear” of being “re-institutionalized.”
