Sofía Vergara storms off ‘America’s Got Talent’ after Howie Mandel cracks single joke

Howie caused an owie.

Sofía Vergara walked off the “America’s Got Talent” stage Wednesday after Howie Mandel made a joke about the “Modern Family” star being single.

The wisecrack came when Vergara, 51, was selected by fellow judge Simon Cowell to take a lie detector test live on the show.

Sitting on a throne constructed out of tater tots — dubbed “the tot-seat” in honor of the show’s sponsor Sonic — Vergara was subjected to several questions ranging from her personal life to how she felt about working on the show.

Mandel, 67, went straight for the jugular and asked his co-star if she was “interested in anyone.”

“That’s it,” replied Vergara before ripping the cuff off her arm and walking back to her seat at the judge’s table.

The Post reached out to Mandel and Vergara for comment.

The abrupt end to the interrogation came after Vergara failed several questions including Heidi Klum’s quip regarding whether or not Cowell, 63, is like a sweet puppy. The “Chef” actress managed to score a point when she admitted that working on “AGT” was more fun than “Modern Family.”

This is not the first time that Mandel has poked fun at his co-star’s relationship status.

Last month, the former “Deal or No Deal” host attempted to play cupid after ventriloquist Brynn Cummings’ puppet Lovebird flirted with both him and Klum, 50.

“If you’re looking for eligible bachelors, you should’ve talked to Sofía because she’s in the market right now,” joked Mandel, referencing his co-star’s divorce from “True Blood” hunk Joe Manganiello.

The comment prompted laugher from Vergara, but left host Terry Crews unimpressed.

“No, we are not doing that,” the 55-year-old host said onstage.

The comments also sparked backlash online with several users lambasting Mandel for his insensitive comments.

Mandel later told ET that he was “helping Sofia” and wasn’t intentionally being malicious.

“People said it was too soon and it was tasteless,”admitted Mandel.

According to the judge, however, Vergara seemed to enjoy the jabs at her new single life.

“She came over and she thought it was funny,” Mandel commented to the outlet. “She [said it was] good [and said] how much she wants that.”

Vergara and Manganiello, 46, filed for divorce in July after seven years of marriage.

“We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives,” the estranged couple told Page Six.

A source close to the couple revealed that “Sofía and Joe have been growing apart for a while now and are taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future.”

“America’s Got Talent” airs every Tuesday and Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.
