Here are the must-watch returning TV shows this fall

It’s the season of scarves, pumpkin spice lattes and all of your returning favorite shows. 

The Hollywood actors’ and writers’ strikes have delayed some shows, and networks have shuffled schedules around. 

Nevertheless, there’s still a host of old favorites that are returning, from reality cooking shows to reality dating series to period-piece scripted dramas.

This fall’s roster also boasts an eclectic group of stars, including Jon Hamm, Joe Keery, Juno Temple, Tig Notaro, Cara Delevingne and Kim Kardashian.

Here’s your essential guide to all the returning shows.

“The Morning Show”

Now in Season 3, the morning TV workplace drama starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Billy Crudup returns with new additions to the cast, including Hamm, Notaro, Natalie Morales and Nicole Beharie. 

Premiere date: Sept. 13 on AppleTV+

“I Can See Your Voice” 

Cheryl Hines and vocalist Adrienne Bailon-Houghton join host Ken Jeong for Season 3 of the game show where a rotating panel of celebs determine who’s a good singer (or not). 

Premiere date: Sept. 19 on Fox (9 p.m.)

“American Horror Story: Delicate”

Season 12 of the Ryan Murphy anthology series stars Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevingne and Emma Roberts. This season’s story follows actress Anna Victoria Alcott (Roberts), who is trying to become a mother. What can possibly go wrong?

Premiere date: Sept. 20 on FX.

“Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal”

Season 2 of this docuseries continues the violent and bizarre story of disgraced South Carolina lawyer Alex Murdaugh, who was was found guilty in March of the murder of his wife Maggie and son Paul. Season 1 followed the events leading up to the verdict; Season 2 will focus on the impact on the community featuring interviews from the Murdaugh family housekeeper and jurors from the trial. 

Premiere date: Sept. 20 on Netflix. 

“Sex Education”

The fourth and final season of this raunchy teen comedy returns with stars Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey and Connor Swindells. “Schitt’s Creek” creator/ star Dan Levy joins the cast. 

Premiere date: Sept. 21 on Netflix.

“Love Is Blind”

Season 5 of the dating reality series follows singles in Houston, TX, as they try to fall in love – sight unseen. 

Premiere date: Sept. 22 on Netflix. 

“The Voice”

Season 24 marks the first time in the show’s 12-year run that Blake Shelton won’t be a coach. Reba McEntire replaces Shelton along with returning coaches Niall Horan, Gwen Stefani and John Legend. 

Premiere date: Sept 25 on NBC (8 p.m.)

“Kitchen Nightmares”

Season 8 of the reality food series returns after a nine-year hiatus (Season 7 aired in 2014) to follow chef Gordon Ramsay as he helps chefs all over America try to turn their luck around. 

Premiere date: Sept 25 on Fox (8 p.m.)

“The Masked Singer” 

Season 10 of the reality competition show will have 16 masked contestants, and there will be some “wild card” past contestants returning. Host Nick Cannon and judges Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke will all return.

Premiere date: Sept 27 on Fox (8 p.m.)

“Survivor”

Season 45 of the reality series will have 18 castaways competing against each other while they’re stranded in Fiji. 

Premiere date: Sept 27 on CBS (8 p.m.) 

“Shark Tank” 

Season 15 returns with hosts Barbara Corcoran, Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John and Kevin O’Leary.

Premiere date: Sept 29 on ABC (8 p.m.) 

“Quantum Leap” 

Season 2 of the revival of the early 90’s sci-fi hit adds new cast members Eliza Taylor (“The 100”) and Peter Gadiot (“Yellowjackets”). 

Premiere date: Oct 4 on NBC (8 p.m.)

“Lupin Part 3”

France’s most wanted gentleman thief Assane Diop (Omar Sy) returns for another heist in the international hit. 

Premiere date: Oct 5 on Netflix. 

“Our Flag Means Death” 

Season 2 of the pirate comedy returns, starring Taika Waititi as Blackbeard and Rhys Darby as Stede Bonnet. Minnie Driver joins the cast as the famous pirate Anne Bonny. 

Premiere date: Oct. 5 on Max

“Loki”

Season 2 of the Marvel series about Tom Hiddleston’s Loki going on romps through time will feature Jonathan Majors, who’s been caught in controversy and accused of alleged domestic violence

Premiere date: Oct. 6 on Disney+

“Upload” 

Creator Greg Daniels’ (“The Office”) afterlife comedy starring Robbie Amell returns for Season 3 of quirky rom-com hijinks.  

Premiere date: Oct 20 on Prime Video. 

“The Gilded Age”

Season 2 of Julian Fellowes (“Downton Abbey”) lavish drama about wealthy women in late 19th century New York City is back with stars Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski and Cynthia Nixon. 

Premiere date: Oct 29 on HBO (9 p.m.). New cast members include Robert Sean Leonard (“House”) and Laura Benanti.

“Fargo”

After a nearl- three-year hiatus, the anthology series returns for Season 5 starring Jon Hamm, Juno Temple (“Ted Lasso,”), Joe Keery (“Stranger Things”) and Jennifer Jason Leigh. 

Premiere date: Nov. 21 on FX (10 p.m.).
