Giants troll Tom Brady for throwing shade at Eli Manning

Tom Brady just can’t seem to shake Eli Manning — not even in retirement

In a video posted Tuesday on X, formerly known as Twitter, Brady was answering a question for a new marketing campaign by the NFL.

“Do I think the NFL is scripted?” Brady asked. “You think I would really have played along with a script that had me losing to Peyton’s little brother Eli twice in the Super Bowl?”

But the Giants whacked back at Brady on X with a tweet of their own: “Seems like a perfect script to us.”

As quarterback of the New England Patriots, Brady won six Super Bowl titles.

Tom Brady lost a pair of Super Bowls to Eli Manning.

But he was denied another two rings thanks to Manning and the Giants, who beat the Patriots, 17-14 in Super Bowl XLII and 21-17 in Super Bowl XLVI.

Brady still added a seventh title when he left the Patriots for the Buccaneers and led Tampa Bay to victory in Super Bowl LV, beating the Kansas City Chiefs, 31-9.

Brady officially retired in February, three years after Manning called it quits.

Perhaps Brady’s video dig was in response to the ManningCast’s quest for a third host.

In a separate video making the rounds Tuesday on X, Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions leaked clips of the “auditions” to join the Manning brothers on ESPN’s alternate broadcasts of “Monday Night Football.”

Brady doesn’t appear until almost two minutes into the video and it shows him in the waiting room next to a dog, when Brady turns to the pooch and says, “Been waiting here a long time, too?”

Then the lights go out on Brady and his canine companion.

Seconds later, Brady broke the news, “No, I didn’t get the ManningCast job. I guess I’ll just come back and play football again.”

While you can never say never with Brady, the 46-year-old legend appears ready to move on with his life, taking a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, dating supermodel Irina Shayk and preparing for his career as a broadcaster with Fox Sports.
